La Dolce Vita ... just in the Pearl of Lake Como

"If you write the story of two happy lovers, put the story on the shores of Lake Como"! Thus wrote Franz Liszt, the famous composer, for whom Komos's nature served to compose the "Symphony of Dante" while sitting under a tent in the gardens of the 'lustful' of Villa Melzi. Villa Melzi is a historic private house set in the town of Bellagio, owned by the Melzi d'Eril family, today a national monument. We will start our trip from the crossing of the 'two feet' of Lake Como, namely from Bellagio, a boat service center on the lake thanks to its location. The oasis of tranquility that pardons his nature was not only
inspiration for Franz Litz in the 1800's, but also for other names such as Rossini's composer, the famous Lord Byron, Stendhal, US Presidents F.Roosevelt and J. Kennedy, actors Al Pacino, Antonio Banderas and Julia Roberts. Meanwhile, the famed have not spared to have personal villas in this brilliant part of Italy, George Clooney made his own, in 2001 an 18th-century villa, Villa Oleandra, a real luxury with a fantastic view of Lake Como.

Situated in the shadow of the Alps and just an hour away from Milan, Lake Como is a jewel of nature. And if you are planning for a honeymoon, absolutely the spectacular landscape that Como offers along with the "evocative" kitchen would be the jolly love of yours.Few places are as romantic as the Lake of Como and rare resorts like Bellagio. It is known as the "Pearl of the Lake", with world-class hotels and restaurants that ensure the absorption of the most relaxing lake views. Bellagio is characterized by old buildings, cobbled streets filled with shops selling the best Italian goods, and these will be reached by climbing the picturesque stone stairs.

Who would not dream of renting an Italian villa in this magical city? They are expensive but anyway, to visit them does not cost much. On all banks of the magical lake of Komos there are so many villas with gardens full of roses and lilies that you will not need to rent it to feel their majesty. One of them is Vila Serbelloni! It is open every day except the moons and the price to see its interior is 9 euros per person. From its chambers comes a seductive panorama of Komos's branches. Not to forget the gardens of the eighteenth century, and the appearance of the Alps that shadow over it. Another magnificent Villa is what we talked from the beginning, Villa Melzi. It has become a retreat for tourists, stands open from March until November from 9:30 to 18:30. To be within its majesty you need it pay only 6 euros.

It was built in 1808 for Duke Francesco Melzi D'Eril, a friend and political associate of Napoleon Bonaparte. Meanwhile to accommodate you can choose the hotels or apartments that are numerous, and for everyone's tastes, all overlooking one side of Lake Como. There are 22 restaurants in the entire territory of Bellagio. To enjoy traditional cuisine dishes that accompany a romantic evening in such a "diamond", we suggest Restaurant Alle Darsene di Loppia, located very close to Villa Melzi. The restaurant is modest, with a capacity of 60 people open every day except Mondays. Caution: Lunch and dinner in this restaurant is served on a fixed schedule, namely: Lunch: 12: 00-14: 30 and Dinner: 19: 00-21: 30. And once you have 'satisfied your stomach', mostly with the lake's fish, go to the Cava Turacciolo tavern where you dine on local beer, but you can also select one of the 300 wine labels in the 18th-century basement of this tavern.
After a visit to Bellagio, you will prove why tourists call this place holy. Your holidays will be packed with adventure, fun and peace. One of the things that should not be missed in Bellagio is a walk with one of Europe's jewelers, a typical boat in Lake Como. These water cabs in Bellagio are more than just boats, are an endless fleet of delight ...

Leave this pearl of Komos to close our trip just 37 minutes away by car from Bellagio to the town bearing the name of the lake in Komo. The town of Komos is located in the southernmost part of the lake, a city over 400 years old which is proved by the rich cultural heritage that breathtaking, the magnificent churches historical monuments, making it a resort more than elegant. Of course, the pictures of all this beauty of nature are just a small sample of what you will experience if you visit this small piece of heaven on earth. Although a photo can be worth as many as 1000 words, it will never truly replace the spectacular beauty and grandeur of Lake Como, just as in your eyes. After all this, it is inevitable that such a place should not sink you into its romantic slavery, leaving you to leave it with a "La Dolce Vita" flavor !
