In 'Roads of Love' ... Spello

Umbria Horseback riding on the endless fields of sunflower in the Umbrian region is the most exquisite experience that nature lovers never miss when they are in this part of Italy. We will travel to the "jewel of Umbrias" in Spello, an amazing village town surrounded by rolling with olive groves and vineyards! Spello is located in the northern part of Umbrian in the province of Bologna, and is called the lucky town after having miraculously saved the development of heavy industry while preserving the environment and nature.
The rich history of the city of Spello dates back to Roman times, over 2000 years ago. The town-village has a well-preserved medieval center that boasts its architectural riches, narrow cobbled streets and much more. Spello fanatically fosters traditional cuisine, one of the best in all of Italy accompanied by some of the best wines. This small village is home to more than 60 large churches and monasteries, some of which have extraordinary masterpieces. One of Spello's greatest attractions is the narrow alleys where their white color is lost in the variety of colors of 'fragrant flowers', and today this destination is identified as "The Street of Spello".  What makes it a different stopping point for this destination is precisely its narrow streets adorned with colorful rattan flowers. And precisely about this in Spello every year is organized the famous festival of flowers Infiorata. For several months, Spello's residents, but not just Italians from different cities and foreign tourists, collect flowers of the most varied species to cover all of Spello's streets with intricate images, all alone with petals of flowers.

And precisely about this in Spello every year is organized the famous festival of flowers Infiorata. For several months, Spello's residents, but not just Italians from different cities and foreign tourists, collect flowers of the most varied species to cover all of Spello's streets with intricate images, all alone with petals of flowers. Some of these images look identical even as paintings made of well-trained penis. This festival takes place during the June and July Sundays and in recent years hundreds of thousands of visitors visit Spellon just to 'overlook' the streets paved with the multicolored carvings in Spello. There are more than 50 groups of artists who compete with images that only create the alternation of flower petals while the crowds of visitors walking around them contemplate the most beautiful panorama of the city. After the flower festival, in Spello comes the month of summer festivals with concerts, art exhibitions and archaeological tours all for free. Wanderings during the summer evenings in the city, enjoying a cappuccino or ice cream is the most rewarding moment for anyone. But you can do this once you have a one-on-one dinner at one of the city's best restaurants, as Spello owns some of the best Umbrian restaurant restaurants. The recent tourist boom has been accompanied by the opening of a large number of new restaurants offering international but especially traditional menus. It can be said that local chefs have a tradition of inheriting this 'profession' in their children by keeping every local recipe fanatically.
Some of the most popular restaurants are those in the city center and offer a traditional tour on their small terraces below which one of the most colorful sights in the world is to be found. Also worth mentioning is the restaurant Cacciatore, Il Pinturicchio, Osteria Dada and Osteria Il Buchetto. Spello is located 168 km from the Italian capital, less than two hours away by car, after getting off at Rome's airport. A short spell on Spello would be the best and easiest choice for those who want to refresh themselves during the hot summer days. The Street of Spello are called differently and the eternal "Roads of Love" ...
